Doorlink-100: the new generation of intelligent elevator door control

Smarter commissioning. Greater precision. Complete connectivity.

Door performance plays a fundamental role in every modern elevator system. It directly influences passenger comfort, installation efficiency and long-term reliability.

As elevators become increasingly connected and intelligent, traditional door controllers are no longer sufficient.

Developed by Sicor Italy S.r.l., Doorlink-100 is an advanced door control drive that combines intelligent motor management, wireless commissioning, integrated diagnostics and seamless communication within a single platform.

More than simply controlling door movement, Doorlink-100 streamlines the entire commissioning and operating process, enabling manufacturers, installers and maintenance teams to work faster, more accurately and with greater confidence.

As part of Sicor’s integrated elevator ecosystem, it communicates seamlessly with the controller and other system components, creating a connected platform that simplifies installation, enhances diagnostics and supports long-term operational efficiency.

Designed for modern elevator door drive applications

Today’s elevator industry demands more than reliable door movement. Manufacturers need components that integrate effortlessly into increasingly sophisticated systems. Installers expect faster, more intuitive commissioning. Maintenance teams require immediate access to diagnostic information to minimise downtime and maximise service efficiency.

Doorlink-100 has been developed with these challenges in mind, combining advanced control algorithms with an intuitive user experience.

Its modular architecture supports both permanent magnet and induction motors, delivering precise motion control through proprietary encoder technology and sophisticated motor management algorithms.

A universal single-phase AC input (120–230 Vac, 50/60 Hz), combined with an active Power Factor Correction (PFC) front end, ensures stable operation across power networks worldwide.

CANopen communication enables seamless integration with the elevator controller, while Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) connectivity allows technicians to commission, configure and monitor the system directly from a smartphone or tablet.

Simplifying elevator commissioning

One of Doorlink-100‘s greatest strengths is its commissioning process.

Instead of relying solely on conventional control panels or complex programming procedures, technicians can connect directly to the drive using the dedicated mobile application.

From a single interface they can:

  • configure system parameters;
  • monitor door status in real time;
  • execute opening and closing commands;
  • access alarms and diagnostics;
  • manage all commissioning settings.

The result is a faster, simpler and more repeatable commissioning process, regardless of the installation environment.

Intelligent control for smoother operation

Passenger comfort begins with smooth, consistent door operation.

Doorlink-100 continuously manages speed, acceleration and torque to ensure accurate and controlled opening and closing cycles.

Advanced features such as automatic door learning, moving mass calculation and intelligent torque management enable the controller to automatically adapt to the characteristics of each installation. This reduces vibration, optimises performance and improves long-term reliability.

The result is precise positioning, smoother operation and consistent performance throughout the entire service life of the product.

Built-in safety and diagnostics

Reliability is essential in every elevator installation.

Doorlink-100 integrates a comprehensive range of diagnostic and monitoring functions designed to simplify both commissioning and maintenance.

These include:

  • obstacle detection with automatic reopening;
  • continuous door status monitoring;
  • motor temperature monitoring;
  • operating condition monitoring;
  • alarm and warning management;
  • self-learning procedures;
  • dedicated multi-colour status LEDs.

Immediate access to diagnostic information allows technicians to identify potential issues more quickly, reduce troubleshooting time, maximise system availability and simplify maintenance throughout the product’s lifecycle.

Certified for global markets

Bringing an elevator component to international markets requires far more than advanced technology. It demands compliance with rigorous safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements that ensure reliable operation across different regulatory environments.

Doorlink-100 was developed with these requirements in mind from the very beginning. Its certifications demonstrate compliance with internationally recognised standards, giving manufacturers greater confidence when integrating the product into projects destined for global markets.

UL certification confirms compliance with the stringent safety requirements applied to elevator control equipment in North America, making Doorlink-100 suitable for applications requiring UL and CSA compliance.

Compliance with the European EMC Directive further guarantees reliable operation in electrically demanding environments by minimising electromagnetic emissions while maintaining immunity to external disturbances, contributing to the stability of the entire elevator system.

DoorLink-100 is UL/CSA certified as an Elevator Control (UL File E546135), complying with ASME A17.5-2025 and CSA B44.1.

Designed for elevator door systems compliant with EN 81-20, DoorLink-100 also meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, including EN 12015, EN 12016 and the ETSI EN 301 489 series.

Seamless connectivity

Modern elevator components must exchange information efficiently across the entire system.

Doorlink-100 supports multiple communication interfaces, including:

  • CANopen communication;
  • Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE);
  • digital inputs and outputs;
  • a dedicated mobile application for iOS and Android devices.

This connectivity simplifies system integration, accelerates commissioning and provides the digital foundation for the next generation of intelligent elevator architectures.

Supporting different motor technologies

Flexibility is another defining characteristic of Doorlink-100.

The controller supports both permanent magnet motors with proprietary encoder technology and induction motors, applying dedicated control strategies to optimise performance according to the selected motor type.

This allows manufacturers to standardise on a single intelligent platform across multiple elevator configurations, simplifying engineering, commissioning and inventory management.

More than a door controller

Doorlink-100 reflects Sicor’s vision of the next generation of integrated elevator systems.

By combining intelligent motion control, wireless commissioning, advanced diagnostics, global compliance and seamless connectivity, it transforms door management into a smarter, faster and more efficient process.

As the elevator industry continues to evolve towards increasingly connected solutions, Doorlink-100 provides manufacturers with the technology needed to simplify installation, improve reliability and enhance long-term performance.

More importantly, it is not designed to operate as a standalone component, but as part of a fully integrated elevator ecosystem. Working seamlessly alongside the controller and other system components, Doorlink-100 helps create elevators that are easier to install, simpler to maintain and ready for the future of digital mobility.
